Overview Post and Platinum Challenges

What’s up everybody!

I’m MrKane, 28 years old and a new member of the trophy hunting ranks. The desire to trophy hunt has developed very recently in my case, but it has taken a really strong hold on me already. After getting my first two platinums, I found myself in kind of a tricky situation.

My account was full of hundreds of games that I had trophies on, the majority of which left with platinums unattainable due to MP trophies and their servers being shut down. This left me with an ugly, uncomplete collection and a completion rate that was probably never gonna see anything close to 50% even.

Since I had no big attachment to the account overall, I decided – before acquiring more platinums would make this choice even harder – to start fresh. 0 Trophies. 0 Platinums. This means, you will experience every single trophy and every single platinum with me. We will be going 0 to 1 and at some point 0 to 100 together. 😊

To make this even more interesting, I have prepared some challenges – both short and long term – that I will try to achieve in addition to all those shiny platinums that await me. Without further ado, here are the challenges, separated into categories. Get ready, there are quite a few.

I didn’t lie when I said that was gonna be a lot, did I? I enjoy chronicling my time gaming, so I feel like this blog here will allow me to do just that, and hopefully for a long period of time. I’m under no illusions that finishing all of these challenges will be achievable any time soon (or ever), but I think they will be a nice addition to this blog.

As far as the games you can expect to see here, I don’t plan on doing any platinums for throwaway / trash games (I’m not sure what the right term for them is, but you know what I mean). All games I plan on getting the platinum for will be games I would have played anyway. I have a backlog of games I want to go through (many of which I have never played before), and one major goal will be to get platinums in all games from certain series that I enjoy. Both of those lists can be found on the right hand side of the blog.
